For the first time in Canada, leaders of leadership programs from across the country came together to think through and act on the tough challenges and choices confronting the development of community leadership. We met against the backdrop of unprecedented uncertainty with the recent collapse of confidence in financial markets and leaders, the paralyzing partisanship among political leaders in Ottawa and other capitals, the growing science and international consensus on global warming, and revolutions in social media and global communications.
