Membership with the Canadian Community Leadership Network

 

CCLNet is a national network of organizations that share a common vision in, and work together to develop and share knowledge about, community leadership development, engagement and dialogue.

 

CCLNet encourages the sharing of professional and community experiences, builds collective awareness and promotes knowledge and skills in community leadership. It is a diverse and inclusive network.

 

Membership Benefits

• Networking and collaborating opportunities with other community leadership development organizations, groups, and individuals locally, nationally and globally;

• Access to membership and consultant directory;

• Access to a range of technologies for use in contributing articles, exchanging information and sharing experiences and ideas;

• Access to webinars, featuring topics on current trends, issues and common areas of interest to members;

• The Network electronic newsletter;

• Membership discount program for products and services of interest to members;

• Annual membership survey.

 

Membership Commitment and Expectations

Actively participate in the network by:

  1. • Contributing an article or news item annually;

• Promoting membership in the network to others, including graduates and like-minded individuals;

• Exchanging information about community leadership events, learning tools, program information, and innovations;

• Taking an active role in a CCLNet task force.

 

Membership Categories

 

Full member
A not-for profit community leadership organization that functions as an initiative owned by the broader community and which:
a) Reflects all sectors of the community in its governance bodies and program content/perspectives, including such sectors as voluntary, private, public, media, labour, education, faith, and diversity of populations;
b) Identifies rising decision makers/leaders from all sectors of the community, enhancing their understanding of their community and  its leadership challenges,  enhancing their sense of community trusteeship and building  networks of people with a common commitment to strengthen and build community.

Full members can vote and may hold all CCLNet board positions.

 

Alumni member
An individual who graduated from a not-for-profit community leadership program. Graduate members may vote and occupy a maximum of two CCLNet board positions.
 

Associate member
Any nonprofit community minded organization or group or individual who has an interest in community leadership and does not meet the criteria outlined in the full or graduate member definition. This may include academic institutions, private consultants, researchers, students, etc
Associate members do not have a vote or hold office.

  

Annual Membership fee structure

 

Full member:   $200
Alumni member:  $50
Associate membership: $100
